KeyTrak to Share Multifamily Security Solutions at TRENDS 2011

College Station, TX – October 20, 2011 – On December 6, 2011, multifamily professionals attending the 27th Annual TRENDS Rental Housing Management Conference and Trade Show in Seattle, Washington, will receive the opportunity to see a demonstration of KeyTrak’s Multifamily Plus system, an electronic key control system designed for the multifamily industry.

With the recent rise in multifamily occupancy rates, KeyTrak seeks to provide property owners and managers with a security solution to address the amplified security concerns that accompany this rising number of tenants. As one of the winners in the Security category of the Multi-Housing News 2011 Technology Choice Awards, KeyTrak is recognized as one of the top security solutions for the multifamily market.

“KeyTrak’s goal is to provide the multifamily industry with a system that protects residents’ privacy and helps property owners avoid liability issues,” said Joe LaCombe, regional sales manager for KeyTrak. “You hear too many stories about landlords being hit with lawsuits for not properly securing keys to not have a key control system in place.”

The Multifamily Plus system operates via a computerized steel drawer in which keys and other important assets are stored. When a key or asset is removed from the drawer, the system automatically creates a verifiable audit trail, protecting businesses and employees from liability and providing residents with peace of mind. In addition, KeyTrak’s integration with MyBuilding.org – a leading provider of resident portal and property management software services – allows KeyTrak to automatically communicate key transactions to MyBuilding.org.

This functionality enables automatic email notifications to be sent to residents regarding keys given out or checked back in. Management is provided with comprehensive reporting about KeyTrak transactions through MyBuilding.org’s management console.

Customers who do not use MyBuilding.org may use the KeyTrak SmartLink Plus application, which imports data from a client’s existing facility management system into the KeyTrak system.
