KeyTrak, Inc., the leading provider of key and asset management systems, has completed a round of updates to its Multifamily Plus, Government Plus, Asset Management Plus and Guardian systems that allow users to more efficiently reserve keys. In addition, Guardian users — such as military customers — who are required to track transactions by serial numbers can now use a Serial Number Activity report to view transaction data on specific keys and key tags.

“Our systems are designed to help our clients reduce their risk of liability, loss and lawsuit by controlling access to assets using our electronic key management systems,” said Vice President of Sales Richard Battle. “These changes will help accomplish both of those objectives while meeting our clients’ specific needs.”

The updates to the aforementioned multifamily, government, asset management and Guardian systems include a reservation functionality that allows users to check tag availability before completing the reservation process. To search for a specific tag, users can select the newly added “Check Availability” button to verify whether keys on a specific tag are available during the desired time.

For each key tag, the system displays the total number of keys contained on the tag as well as the number of available and requested keys. Since the tag can contain multiple copies or types of keys, users can also issue specific keys to different users at the same time.

In addition to being able to perform key-level reservations, Guardian users can access the Serial Number Activity report to view key serial numbers, names, tag IDs, asset types, user IDs, checkout reasons and checkout and check-in times. The results can be filtered by these options as well.
